How does the school code work?
After purchasing a school license, your dashboard shows a unique school code along with an activation QR code and link. On each device, scan the QR code with the camera or tap the activation link — Chirp.QR opens with the code already filled in. You can also enter the code manually from the Library tab. No Apple ID sign-in required, so it works perfectly with shared classroom devices.
Do I need Apple IDs on the devices?
No. The school code unlocks Premium without requiring an Apple ID. This makes it ideal for shared devices managed through Apple School Manager or MDM.
What happens when my subscription renews?
We send you a renewal invoice before your license expires. Once paid, your school code continues to work seamlessly with no interruption.
Can I get an invoice for procurement?
Yes. All school licenses are invoiced annually. You pay by bank transfer, which makes it easy to process through your school's procurement system.
Is there a free trial?
Chirp.QR is free to download and use. The free version includes core features. Premium unlocks extended recording time, more storage, and additional features. Contact us if you'd like to trial Premium for your school.
What if we need a large number of devices?
We can accommodate schools of any size. Request a license for up to 999 devices, or contact us at support@chirpqr.com for larger deployments.
